"Downhill to Donkey", January 2026.
This story starts with going sliding down the mountain, and moves the reader through the discovery of a cabbage and appearance of a donkey. All frames on the left are hand drawn; on the right - AI-generated from the images on the left. The first drawing is author's own starting point, the rest, are drawn in response to the AI generated images.
"Cactus Soup for Dinner", May 2024.
is a story that starts with a lady asking me to pass her a leek (true story) at a market. Which then the AI turns into a cactus as I pass it on... The lady is shocked initially, but then takes it happily and makes a soup for dinner out of it. Why not, cactus is a delicious vegetable!
Frames 1, 3 and 5 are by me, the others made by the AI tool from my frames as a basis.
"Let me pull it out", April 2024.
Is a story starting with a pencil falling out of my bag in the library (true story), aiming itself at a lady and getting stuck in her arm (not quite true..). I offered to "pull it out". We see the struggle in a close up of the arms... In the end, it seems like I pulled out a little too much (noodles?). And ate it all, happily.
Frames 1, 3 and 4 are hand drawn; the rest is AI generated from those images.
"Hello, Northern Cat", February 2023.
The very first story I made in which parts are drawn by the AI tool.
It begins with me meeting a cat in some slightly lopsided village with wonky houses and very upright trees, who later points at a tree with robins and pulls out a cigarette...
You have to start somewhere...
